KANGRIM Composite/Aux. Boiler

Description

The KANGRIM Composite/Aux. Boiler Restoration project involved a full technical recovery of a system that had been left in severely compromised condition. During our inspection, we identified multiple unsafe modifications, faulty wiring, and several failed components that rendered the boiler inoperative. Our team approached the task with a complete overhaul mindset, ensuring every issue—electrical, mechanical, and control‑related—was addressed methodically and in line with manufacturer standards.

As part of the restoration, we replaced all damaged control components within the main panel as well as the external units, installed and configured a new SDC36 controller for stable steam‑pressure regulation, and renewed the flame scanners (Siemens LFS1.11A2) along with their detection relays to ensure reliable ignition and safety. The burner system received a full service, including solenoid valves and the oil‑gun assembly, followed by extensive manual and automatic operational testing. These tests confirmed smooth combustion, correct sequencing, and safe boiler behavior under all operating modes.

With all work completed, the boiler was fully restored and returned to stable, reliable operation in both manual and automatic modes. The vessel now benefits from a safe, efficient, and properly configured steam‑generation system, reflecting our team’s technical expertise and commitment to delivering high‑quality, dependable marine engineering solutions.
