Fixed Gas Sampling System (HANLA) inspection & calibration
Description
The Fixed Gas Sampling System inspection and calibration project began with a full functional check of all installed gas sensors, including HC, H₂S, and O₂. Each sensor was tested across its operating range and calibrated to ensure accurate and stable readings. In parallel, we serviced the system’s suction pumps by installing new repair kits, restoring proper vacuum performance and sampling flow. The sampling tubes were also cleaned thoroughly to remove small amounts of moisture that had accumulated inside, ensuring unobstructed and reliable gas transfer to the sensors.
Following the mechanical work, we carried out a complete electrical inspection of the panel, verifying all wiring, terminations, and signal paths. The alarm logic, pre‑alarm thresholds, and full alarm activation were tested to confirm correct operation, including both audible and visual indications on the monitor. We also checked the monitor itself for any altered settings or unauthorized modifications, ensuring that all parameters matched the manufacturer’s specifications and the vessel’s operational requirements.
Once all calibration and verification steps were completed, the system was tested under simulated operating conditions to confirm stable and accurate performance. All sensors responded correctly, the pumps operated smoothly, and the alarm sequences triggered exactly as intended. The vessel received a detailed service report documenting all work performed, along with the official calibration certificate confirming the system’s compliance and readiness for safe operation.
