Yacht Control System Overhaul – Full Restoration of Engine Control Levers

Description

Our team recently completed a full inspection, repair, and overhaul of the yacht’s engine control lever system, addressing issues that were affecting smooth operation, responsiveness, and overall maneuverability. The initial assessment revealed several performance‑limiting conditions, including stiff lever movement, delayed throttle and gear response, mechanical wear, poor lubrication, and misalignment. These findings indicated that the system required a complete restoration to return to safe and precise operation.

To ensure long‑term reliability, the control units were fully removed from the vessel and completely disassembled. Each internal mechanical component underwent deep cleaning and a detailed inspection for signs of wear, corrosion, or deformation. Worn parts were replaced using new repair kits, restoring the mechanical integrity of the system. This stage was critical for eliminating friction points and ensuring that all moving parts could operate freely and consistently.

Following the mechanical restoration, the system was re‑lubricated, precisely reassembled, and aligned to manufacturer specifications. The control units were then reinstalled onboard, where calibration procedures were carried out to synchronize throttle and gear responses. Functional testing confirmed that the controls operated smoothly across the full range of motion, with immediate and accurate response to user input.

With the overhaul completed, the yacht’s engine controls now deliver significantly improved handling, responsiveness, and safety during maneuvering. This project reflects our commitment to delivering high‑quality technical solutions that enhance vessel performance and ensure dependable operation in all conditions.
